Provide an Environment of Brotherhood; Reinvent Yourself for the Next Stage.
Valor is defined as "great courage, boldness, or determination in the face of danger, particularly in battle." That is why Game Changers could think of no better name for a place that treats retired soldiers, first responders, and professional football players together than Valor Hills Retreat.
Our most ambitious project to date, Valor Hills Retreat will provide an environment of brotherhood where men can reinvent themselves for the next stage of their lives. Growing evidence shows that treating these three groups together — specifically around mental health and the psychological impact of transitioning out of high-stakes careers — is highly effective: mutual respect and camaraderie, shared identity crises, and shared difficulty reinventing themselves.

Unlike programs that only offer counseling sessions, Valor Hills Retreat will offer facilitated peer-group discussions, career and entrepreneurship guidance, and — as importantly — recreational activities. When treating "alpha males," it is imperative that barriers can be broken down in a relaxing environment. Through private individual and foundation donations, Valor Hills will allow retired soldiers, first responders, football players, and their families to stay at our facility free of charge for a three-day weekend.
Valor Hills Retreat is funded entirely by individual and foundation donations. Every gift moves the build forward and brings the first families one weekend closer.
